Introduction
S. Korea is the 4th largest crude oil importing country in the world with refinery capacity of 270 thousand barrels per day. ˇˇWe, Energy, Metals & Minerals Div, handle all kinds of energy related commodities/products such as Crude oil, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), and Petroleum Products (gasoline / naphtha / jet fuel / kerosene / gasoil / fuel oil / bunker oil / asphalt with all the Korean refineries, major petrochemical companies and utility companies such as KEPCO / KOGAS / KNOC.
Korean oil and petrochemical industries feature in their large production capacity. For instance, SK, the largest oil company in Korea, has 850 thousand barrels per day of its refining facility in Ulsan, south-east part of S.Korea, which is the largest refinery in the world located in one place. Yeochun NCC, a leading petrochemical company in Korea, has one of the largest naphtha cracking facilities (2million ton/year) in the world. S.Korea, therefore, has been regarded as one of the most important export center in a field of petroleum and petrochemical products.
Under those environments, We, Energy, Metals & Minerals Div. of ITOCHU KOREA, cooperating with Itochu Global Energy Trading Networks, are currently transacting about 140,000 barrels per day of Energy related products for both importing to and exporting from S.Korea.
